Resq on the Genesis is one of those weird little proto games that never got a full release—which is a shame, because it’s actually kind of a blast. You’re piloting a rescue chopper through these tight, maze-like cityscapes, trying to scoop up stranded civilians before time runs out. The controls take a second to get used to (tilt the chopper just right or you’ll drop people mid-air), but once it clicks, it’s weirdly satisfying.

The proto version feels rough around the edges—some flickering sprites, the occasional janky collision—but that almost adds to the charm. You can tell there was something cool here that just never got polished. If you’re into obscure Genesis stuff, it’s a neat peek at what could’ve been.
