RBI Baseball '94 on the Genesis is one of those games that just feels right—simple, fast, and packed with that early '90s baseball charm. The moment you boot it up, you're hit with bright colors, chunky player sprites, and that satisfying crack of the bat. No deep stat menus or complicated mechanics here—just pick a team (I always went with the Blue Jays back in the day) and jump straight into a game.
The pitching is snappy, the fielding’s a little chaotic (in a good way), and hitting? Pure joy when you time it right. It’s not trying to be a sim—more like arcade baseball with just enough strategy to keep you thinking. And yeah, the AI can be brutal on higher difficulties, but that just makes nailing a late-game homer even sweeter.
Still holds up if you’re into retro sports games. Just don’t blame me when you lose track of time playing "one more inning."
