RBI Baseball 3 on the Genesis is one of those old-school baseball games that just feels right—even if the players look like little pixelated action figures. The pitching’s simple (just aim and fire), but timing your swing takes practice. I kept whiffing at first until I realized you’ve gotta swing a split-second before the ball actually arrives.
It’s got that classic early ‘90s vibe—bright colors, chunky sprites, and that satisfying thwack when you nail a line drive. No fancy stats or deep management here, just pick a team (go Blue Jays) and play. Fielding’s a little janky, but that’s part of the charm. You’ll either love it or rage-quit after the third dropped pop fly.
Still holds up if you’re into arcade-style baseball with zero frills.
