R.B.I. Baseball 3 is that old-school Genesis baseball game where the players look like little chunky sprites, but somehow it still nails the feel of a quick, arcade-y MLB match. You get all the 1990 teams—no fancy rosters, just classic lineups with that satisfying crack when you connect with a fastball.
It’s simple: pick a team, swing for the fences, and try not to groan when your shortstop botches an easy grounder. The season mode’s there if you’re feeling ambitious, but honestly, I usually just jump into single games when I want that nostalgic baseball fix. The pitching mechanics take a minute to get used to, but once you do, striking someone out with a curveball feels weirdly satisfying for a game this old.
Definitely one of the better baseball options on the Genesis if you’re not looking for a full-on sim.
