About Pulseman (english)
Pulseman came out for the Sega Genesis in 1994, developed by Game Freak. It was part of that wave of late-generation platformers that really pushed the hardware's color and speed. You don't hear about it as much as some other titles from that era, but it has a distinct look and feel that sets it apart.
You control a digital being named Pulseman, fighting through stages to stop a villainous corporation. Your main movement trick is the Voltteccer, a special dash attack where you turn into an electric ball and ricochet off surfaces and enemies. This isn't just for combat; you use it to navigate, building momentum to cross wide gaps or scale walls. The levels are linear but designed around this bouncing mechanic, demanding quick reflexes and smart angles to progress. It's a challenging game, with some precise platforming required, especially in the later stages. The whole experience feels fast and electric, like you're riding a current through a neon circuit board.
