Mega Anser was one of those weird, hyper-specific Sega Genesis add-ons that makes you go, "Wait, they actually made this?" It hooked up to the Mega Modem (Japan's early '90s online service) and basically turned your Genesis into a clunky banking terminal. You could check your balance, transfer money—even print receipts if you had the printer add-on.

Honestly, it feels more like a museum piece than a game. The menus are all in Japanese, and the whole thing has that awkward charm of early digital banking—slow, blocky text, beeps for every button press. I can't imagine many kids were begging their parents to play this instead of Sonic, but hey, at least it proves the Genesis could do more than just platformers.

Definitely more interesting as a historical oddity than anything else.
