About Predator 2
Predator 2 came out for the Sega Genesis in 1992, developed by Arena Entertainment. It was part of that wave of movie tie-ins that tried to capture the feel of the film on a 16-bit console. You control Lieutenant Mike Harrigan from the movie, a cop thrown into a gang war that gets a lot more complicated when an alien hunter joins the fray.
You move through side-scrolling levels, shooting human enemies with your standard firearm. The real threat is the Predator, who appears periodically to stalk you. Your main goal is to survive these encounters and ultimately defeat him. Key mechanics include using different vision modes to spot the Predator when he's cloaked and collecting various weapons dropped by enemies to increase your firepower. The game is notoriously difficult, with limited continues and aggressive foes coming from all directions. It feels like a tense hunt where you are never truly safe.
