This was a time when movie tie-ins were common, and this one landed right in the middle of the 16-bit era, trying to capture the show's energy.

You control one of the five Rangers, each with their own special weapon like a power axe or bow. The main goal is to fight through side-scrolling stages, defeating Putty Patrollers and larger monsters to stop Ivan Ooze. You punch and kick through waves of enemies, screen by screen, and can perform a special attack when your meter is full. The game also includes brief, slower vehicle sections where you pilot the Zords. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty can be unforgiving, with enemies swarming you constantly. It feels like a straightforward brawler that demands quick reflexes to survive.
