I picked up Power Rangers: Super Legends for the Nintendo DS back in 2007, a game published by Disney Interactive Studios. It was a time when licensed titles were a common sight on the handheld, and this one aimed to bring the team-based action of the TV series to a portable format. The game doesn't try to reinvent the wheel, but it fits right into that era of straightforward, mission-based adventures you could play on the go.

You control a single Power Ranger from a selection that spans different seasons, tackling levels by moving screen by screen and clearing out waves of Putty Patrollers and other enemies. The main objective is to fight through these stages, facing a boss at the end of each one. Signature mechanics include switching between your Ranger's standard combat mode and a more powerful Battleizer mode for a temporary damage boost, as well as using the touch screen to activate special team-up attacks. The pacing is fairly quick, and the difficulty is manageable, though some enemy patterns require you to pay attention. It feels like a condensed version of the show's action, where you're just jumping in and throwing punches without much complication.
