Pokémon: Secrets and Rumours is one of those weird little fan-made demos from back in 2012—a glitchy but kinda charming love letter to the Game Boy Color era. You start off in a slightly off-brand version of the usual Pokémon world, with some familiar mechanics but also a bunch of janky surprises. The sprites are rough around the edges, and don’t expect polished dialogue, but there’s something oddly fun about poking around to see what weird secrets the creator stuffed in there.

It’s definitely more of a curiosity than a full game, but if you’re into obscure Pokémon romhacks, this one’s got its own weird vibe. Just don’t go in expecting anything close to finished.
