Pokemon Legend Game

Pokémon Legend on the Game Boy Color feels like stumbling onto a lost cartridge in your childhood closet—simple, nostalgic, and weirdly satisfying. You start in a tiny pixel town, pick your starter (I went with the fire type, obviously), and immediately get thrown into tall grass full of creatures that look like they were scribbled in a notebook. The battles are classic turn-based stuff, but there’s something charming about the janky sprites and the way your rival’s team always seems to have that one annoying Pokémon you forgot to counter.
It’s not the deepest RPG out there, but the grind hits just right if you miss that old-school Pokémon vibe. The music’s all bleeps and bloops, and half the time you’re squinting at the screen trying to figure out if that’s a new species or just a glitch. By the time you beat the third gym, you’ll either be hooked or remember why you upgraded to a Switch.
