Pokemon Adventure Game

Pokémon Adventure on the Game Boy Color is one of those classic RPGs that just feels right—simple but deep, with that perfect balance of exploration and turn-based battles. You start off picking your first Pokémon (I always go with Charmander, even though Brock’s gym is a nightmare early on), then wander through tall grass, fight trainers, and slowly build your team. The sprites are tiny but full of charm, and the music? Still stuck in my head after all these years.
It’s not the fanciest game by today’s standards, but there’s something satisfying about grinding levels and finally taking down that rival who’s been smug since the first battle. If you’ve got a GBC lying around, this one’s a no-brainer.
