Okay, so this is one of those weird Disney platformers from the Genesis era—you play as Pinocchio, with Jiminy Cricket hopping along as your tiny sidekick. The game tries to follow the movie’s story, but let’s be real, it’s mostly jumping on platforms and dodging weird enemies like sentient candles and angry puppets.
You’ve got these moral choices (truth, bravery, etc.), but honestly, they mostly just change which awkwardly animated cutscene you get. The controls are a little stiff, like most licensed games from back then, but there’s something charming about how bizarre some of the levels get—like, why is there a whole stage inside a whale’s stomach?
If you’re into retro Disney stuff, it’s a fun little time capsule, just don’t expect it to hold up like the classics.
