Phantasy Star Ii – Rudger’s Adventure (seganet) Game

Phantasy Star II – Rudger’s Adventure is one of those old-school Sega Genesis RPGs that still holds up. You start off as Rudger, this rookie hunter on a mission in the Algol system, and right away you’re thrown into turn-based battles with weird alien creatures while exploring these futuristic cities that feel way ahead of their time.
The combat’s simple but punishing if you’re not careful—I remember getting wrecked by the first boss because I didn’t grind enough. And the dungeons? Classic maze-like layouts with annoying traps, so you’ll either love or hate that. The story’s got that 90s sci-fi charm, full of twists and weird psychic stuff happening.
It’s not the prettiest by today’s standards, but the music slaps, and there’s something satisfying about slowly building your party and uncovering the secrets of Motavia. Just keep a notepad handy for those dungeon maps.
