About Outrunners (japan)
OutRunners came to the Sega Genesis in 1992, a home port of Sega's arcade racing game. It arrived during a time when the 16-bit console was full of ambitious driving titles, and this one aimed to capture the spirit of its arcade cabinet with a focus on simultaneous two-player action.
You control the driver of a sports car, racing against a rival across a branching world map. The main objective is to reach the finish line before your opponent, choosing your path at the end of each stage.
