Ever heard of The Ottifants? It's this weird little platformer from '93 that somehow only made it to Europe and Brazil—Sega Genesis, Master System, and Game Gear. You play as these cartoony elephant things (ottifants, I guess?) hopping around colorful levels, dodging obstacles, and collecting... whatever it is they collect. The art style's got that early '90s charm, kinda like a Saturday morning cartoon but with more questionable physics.
First time I played, I expected something basic, but the controls take a second to get used to—your jumps feel a little floaty, and the hitboxes aren’t always your friend. Still, there’s something oddly charming about it, like stumbling on a forgotten kids’ show no one else remembers. If you’re into obscure retro platformers, this one’s a weird little time capsule.
