Ever wanted to see Professor Oak throw down with Team Rocket’s Giovanni? This Pokémon Yellow hack flips the script—now you’re battling your way through Kanto with Oak as your rival instead of Gary. Yeah, it’s weird seeing the old man talk trash before fights, but it’s a fun twist if you’ve played the original to death.

Same classic GBC gameplay, just with swapped dialogue and some surprise team changes. Giovanni’s still lurking around with his ground-types, but now Oak’s the one popping up to challenge you at the worst times. The nostalgia hits hard, though the sprite edits are a little rough in spots.

If you’ve memorized every patch of grass in Yellow, this at least keeps you guessing for a few hours.
