You control characters from the Naruto Shippuden storyline, engaging in one-on-one fights across a variety of stages. The main goal is to defeat your opponent using a combination of standard attacks, special jutsu, and powerful awakening transformations. A key mechanic is the touch screen, which you use to quickly activate these secret techniques; another is the substitution jutsu, executed by tapping the screen to instantly evade an attack and create an opening. The pacing is fast, and matches can be difficult, demanding good timing to counter enemy assaults. It feels responsive and chaotic, like a proper ninja showdown should.
