About Naruto: Ninja Council 3
Naruto: Ninja Council 3 came out for the Nintendo DS in 2007, developed by Tomy Corporation. It was part of that wave of licensed games on the DS that tried to capture the feel of the anime, and it landed right when the handheld was full of action platformers. You got a lot of these side-scrolling ninja adventures back then, and this one was squarely in that mix.
You control Naruto Uzumaki through a series of side-scrolling levels, fighting enemies with basic combos and his signature jutsu. The main goal is to progress through each stage, defeat the boss at the end, and advance the story. Key mechanics include using the touch screen to activate special techniques and finding hidden scrolls in the environment. The pacing is fairly quick, though some boss fights can be surprisingly tough and require learning their patterns.
