Okay, so Nakayoshi Pet Advance Series 3: Kawaii Koneko is basically the GBA version of those old-school Tamagotchi vibes, but with way more fluff. You start by picking this tiny kitten—there’s a few breeds, and I always go for the calico because, well, obvious reasons—and then it’s just you and a pixelated ball of chaos.
At first, it’s simple: feed it, play with that weird feather toy, clean up after its little accidents. But then your cat starts developing a personality—some are clingy, others ignore you completely (weirdly realistic). The sprites are stupidly cute, like, "accidentally spend 20 minutes just watching them nap" cute. There’s even a mini-game where you fish for toys, which I failed at spectacularly until my third try.
If you ever had one of those digital pets as a kid, this hits the same nostalgic spot, but with way more to do. Just don’t blame me when you realize you’ve been cooing at a Game Boy screen for an hour.
