NFL '95 on the Genesis was Sega's answer to Madden back in the day—not quite as polished, but it had its own charm. The graphics are blocky by today's standards, but the gameplay's surprisingly smooth once you get used to the controls. I remember spending way too much time tweaking playbooks before realizing my running back could just bulldoze through half the defense if I timed it right.
It’s got all the teams and players from the '94 season, so if you’re nostalgic for that era of football (or just want to see how far sports games have come), it’s a fun little time capsule. The commentary’s hilariously repetitive, though—you’ll hear the same three lines by halftime.
Definitely one of those "better with friends" games, especially if you both suck equally at defense.
