Man, NBA Playoffs – Bulls vs Blazers takes me back. It’s that classic Sega Genesis basketball game where you get to relive the 90s rivalry between Jordan’s Bulls and Drexler’s Blazers. The pixelated players actually move pretty smoothly for a 16-bit game—you can pull off crossovers, alley-oops, even those signature MJ fadeaways if you time it right.
The court feels small at first, but once you get used to the controls, you start seeing openings for fast breaks. Defense is clunky by today’s standards (good luck stealing the ball without fouling), but there’s something satisfying about nailing a three-pointer with the shot meter just as the buzzer sounds. And yeah, the commentary is hilariously repetitive—you’ll hear "He’s on fire!" about 50 times per game.
It’s not perfect, but if you miss that era of arcade-style sports games, this one still holds up surprisingly well. Just don’t expect modern NBA 2K realism—this is pure, exaggerated 90s basketball chaos.
