About Nba Live 95 (usa, Europe)
NBA Live 95 came out for the Sega Genesis, known as the Mega Drive in Europe, in 1994. Electronic Arts published it, continuing their line of officially licensed basketball games. This was a time when sports titles were rapidly improving on 16-bit consoles, and this game was a clear step in that progression.
You control a full team of five players on the court, directing their movement and actions to outscore the opposing team. The main objective is to win the game by scoring more points through shots, layups, and dunks. Signature mechanics include the isometric view that gives a good angle on the court, the turbo button for bursts of speed to blow past defenders, and the ability to call specific plays. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty can be sharp, especially when the computer starts making unlikely shots. It feels responsive and fluid when your plays come together on a fast break.
