Mortal Kombat 3 on the Sega Genesis is where the series really started getting wild. You’ve got all the classic gore and fatalities, but now there’s this weird cyber-ninja thing happening—some fighters are half-robot, and honestly, it’s kind of awesome. The stages feel darker, like Earthrealm’s already lost, and the new "Run" button changes up the pace in a way that makes fights way more frantic.
First time I played, I button-mashed my way through a few matches before realizing how brutal the combos could get. And yeah, the digitized sprites still look janky in that nostalgic way, but the blood sprays never get old. If you’re into fighting games that don’t hold back, this one’s a classic for a reason.
