Monster’s Inc. Game

Okay, so Monster's Inc. on the Sega Genesis is basically that weird era where every Disney movie got turned into a side-scroller—somehow this one actually works. You play as Sulley (and sometimes Mike) running through Monstropolis, dodging Randall’s sneaky traps and collecting those little scream canisters. The controls are a bit stiff, but the sprites are surprisingly colorful for a Genesis game, and the factory levels nail that chaotic energy from the movie.
It’s not super deep—you’ll mostly jump on conveyor belts, punch enemies, and occasionally switch to Mike for puzzle bits—but there’s something charming about how aggressively 90s it feels. Like, the soundtrack? Pure chiptune bops. And yeah, the Boo rescue mission gets repetitive, but if you grew up with the film, seeing the door chase as a level is low-key delightful. Just don’t expect a hidden gem—it’s a solid weekend rental kind of game.
