Might and Magic III: Isles of Terra was planned for the Sega Genesis, but the full release never happened; this is a prototype version. It was developed by New World Computing, the same company that created the original computer games. On the Genesis, it would have been one of the more ambitious role playing games, attempting to translate a complex computer RPG onto a console during a time when such ports were still uncommon.

You control a party of adventurers, moving them screen by screen across an overworld and through towns and dungeons. Your main goal is to explore the Isles of Terra, uncovering a plot that threatens the land. Key mechanics include first person, grid based exploration where you navigate corridors and large rooms, and turn based combat that pauses to let you choose attacks or spells for each character. The game maintains a methodical pace, and its difficulty comes from resource management and strategic planning in unfamiliar territories.
