Micro Machines on the Sega Genesis is one of those games that just feels right—tiny cars zipping around absurd tracks like breakfast tables and bathtubs, barely staying on the edges. The controls are tight, and that top-down view makes every turn a mix of precision and panic. First time I played, I wiped out on a cereal box like three times before realizing you can’t just floor it the whole way.
What’s cool is how different each vehicle handles—the sports cars are fast but slide all over, while the tanks are slow but bulldoze through obstacles. And the two-player mode? Absolute chaos. You’ll be shoving each other off the track while dodging forks and pencils like some kind of deranged toy car battle. It’s simple, but that’s why it still holds up.
If you’ve got a Genesis lying around, this one’s a no-brainer for quick, ridiculous fun.
