Micro Machines 2 is one of those games that makes you feel like a kid again—racing tiny cars across kitchen tables, school desks, and even a pool table. The tracks are ridiculous in the best way, with cereal bowls acting as loop-de-loops and pencils serving as ramps. It’s chaotic, but the controls are tight enough that you don’t feel cheated when you wipe out.
The J-Cart version is a nice touch—two extra controller ports built right into the cartridge, so you can cram four players onto the couch without needing a clunky multitap. The AI can be brutal if you’re playing solo, but that’s half the fun. Just don’t get too attached to the lead—one wrong turn onto a fork, and suddenly you’re in last place.
It’s the kind of game where 10 minutes turns into an hour because you keep saying "one more race."
