Mickey's Ultimate Challenge is one of those weird little Sega Genesis gems that doesn't get talked about enough. You start off in this colorful, slightly surreal version of Mickey's world where everything's gone wrong—some sleeping giant's causing chaos, and of course, it's up to you to fix it.
The gameplay's a mix of light puzzles and mini-games, which keeps it from feeling repetitive. One minute you're matching shapes in a memory game, the next you're hopping across platforms like a weird Disney-themed Mario. The art style's got that early '90s charm—bright, blocky, and just the right amount of jank.
It's not super hard, but some of the later puzzles actually make you stop and think for a second. And yeah, Mickey's voice clips are hilariously over-the-top, like they recorded them through a tin can. If you're into oddball retro platformers with a dash of Disney, this one's worth dusting off.
