Mick & Mack as the Global Gladiators came out for the Sega Genesis in 1992, published by Virgin Games. It was one of those platformers from the era that tried to build a whole game around a brand, in this case McDonald's, which gave it a particular kind of early 90s corporate sheen. You play as either Mick or Mack, two kids recruited by Ronald McDonald to save the planet from pollution.

You control your character through a series of side-scrolling levels, jumping between platforms and shooting a magic bow that fires golden arches. The main goal is to clear out the pollution monsters across four different worlds, like the forest and the ocean. You explore screen by screen, collecting golden M tokens and finding hidden bonus areas. The pacing is fairly methodical, requiring you to clear all enemies in a section before you can move on, which can make some parts feel repetitive. The difficulty is manageable but has its spikes, especially in later stages with more environmental hazards. It feels like a straightforward arcade-style challenge, built on simple run and gun mechanics.
