Okay, so Michael Jackson's Moonwalker is one of those weird, wonderful Sega Genesis games that just shouldn’t work—but somehow does. You play as MJ, sliding across the screen in his signature moves, rescuing kids from kidnappers by… dancing at them until they explode? Yeah, it’s bizarre. But the moment you press start, that iconic "Smooth Criminal" bassline kicks in, and suddenly you’re moonwalking through neon streets, tossing your hat like a boomerang.
Then there’s the robot transformation—because of course there is—where Michael turns into a glowing mech and just wrecks everything. And Bubbles the monkey shows up sometimes to help, which feels both random and totally on-brand. The arcade version’s even wilder, with better graphics and this surreal energy that makes it feel like playing a music video. It’s janky, it’s cheesy, and it’s 100% Michael. You either love it or walk away confused. No in-between.
