You control a soldier from the Peregrine Falcon Squad, fighting through screen after screen of enemy soldiers and bizarre vehicles. Your main goal is straightforward: shoot everything that moves and survive to the end of each mission. The game's signature mechanics are the variety of Slug vehicles you can commandeer, like the bipedal SV-001 or the camel-slug hybrid, and the constant shower of weapon power-ups that change your attack on the fly. It moves at a relentless pace, and the difficulty is genuine; you will die often from overwhelming enemy fire and screen-filling bosses. Playing it feels like a constant, chaotic scramble where quick reflexes and memorization are your only real allies.
