Mega Games I is one of those classic Sega Genesis compilations that just feels right—three solid games bundled together, no filler. You’ve got Columns (basically Sega’s answer to Tetris), Super Hang-On (leaning into those turns still feels great), and World Cup Italia '90 (which, okay, hasn’t aged perfectly, but the nostalgia hits hard).
What I love is how different they all are—one minute you’re stacking gems, the next you’re white-knuckling a motorcycle at top speed. The menus are pure early '90s charm, too, with that chunky pixel font and those satisfying menu blips. It’s not the flashiest collection, but if you grew up with a Genesis, this thing’s like digging up a time capsule.
Just don’t expect modern polish—some of these games are rougher than you remember, and that’s part of the fun.
