Man, Mega Games 3 is like finding a time capsule from the Sega Genesis days—three absolute bangers in one cart. You’ve got Sonic (obviously), Streets of Rage (still one of the best beat ‘em ups ever), and Columns (which sounds simple until you’re sweating over gem combos at 2 AM).
What’s wild is how different they all feel—one minute you’re blasting through Green Hill Zone, the next you’re punching goons in a neon-lit alleyway. The pixel art and chiptunes hold up shockingly well, though I’ll admit Streets of Rage’s soundtrack still slaps harder than it has any right to.
If you missed the 16-bit era, this is basically gaming history in a cartridge. Just don’t blame me when you start humming the Sonic theme for days.
