Megatrax (japan) Game

MegaTrax is one of those weird, late-era Genesis racers that feels like it was trying way too hard to be edgy. You’ve got these blocky, low-poly cars tearing through neon cityscapes while a soundtrack that’s half techno, half industrial noise blares in the background. It’s janky, sure—the handling’s slippery, and the AI drivers seem to have a personal vendetta against you—but there’s something weirdly charming about how aggressively '90s it all is.
First race in, you’ll either love it or hate it. The tracks loop in these bizarre, gravity-defying corkscrews, and half the time you’re not sure if you’re driving or just surviving. No idea why it never left Japan, but that kinda makes it cooler. If you’re into obscure racing games with more attitude than polish, this one’s a trip.
