Medal City (seganet) Game

Medal City is one of those old-school Sega Genesis games that feels like it was made for arcade junkies. You’re basically running around grabbing medals while dodging whatever the game throws at you—spikes, enemies, weird moving platforms. The controls are tight, which helps because some of those jumps are brutal if you mistime them.
The graphics have that classic early '90s charm—bright colors, chunky sprites—and the music is the kind of catchy synth stuff that sticks in your head. At first, I thought it was just another collect-a-thon, but there’s actually a decent challenge in figuring out the fastest routes to snag medals before the clock runs out. It’s simple, but in a way that makes you want to try just one more run.
If you’ve got a soft spot for Genesis-era platformers, this one’s worth a few rounds.
