Okay, so McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure sounds ridiculous at first—yeah, you play as Ronald McDonald—but it’s actually a weirdly solid platformer for the Genesis. You’re bouncing on hamburgers, tossing magic coins at enemies, and hopping between these colorful, surreal levels to collect pieces of a treasure map. The controls are surprisingly smooth, and the music’s got that classic Genesis synth charm.
First level drops you in a candy-colored forest with these bouncing fries as platforms, and honestly? It’s kind of great. The boss fights are goofy (one’s a giant walking milkshake), but they’re legit challenging. If you can get past the whole "fast food mascot hero" thing, there’s a genuinely fun game here. Just don’t blame me if you start craving McNuggets halfway through.
