Mario Tennis Advance Game

Mario Tennis Advance is one of those GBA sports games that somehow nails the feel of tennis while still being totally ridiculous. You've got your basic rallies and power shots, but then Mario starts pulling off trick shots that send the ball spinning in wild arcs. The controls are simple—A for topspin, B for slice—but timing matters way more than you'd think at first.
What surprised me was how much single-player content there is. There's a full RPG-style mode where you train your character, unlock new courts (some with weird gimmicks, like pipes that warp the ball), and face off against familiar Mushroom Kingdom faces. The AI actually puts up a decent fight once you get past the early matches.
It's not just a straight port of the N64 version either—they added new characters and courts that fit the handheld perfectly. Wario's smug grin after an ace never gets old.
