Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games is basically the best kind of chaotic crossover—imagine Mario doing a triple axel while Sonic tries not to wipe out on the halfpipe. The DS version keeps things simple but surprisingly fun, with touch controls that actually work (most of the time). You’ll be flicking the stylus to ski downhill, tapping like mad in speed skating, and flailing through curling like a confused penguin.
It’s got that classic Nintendo vs. Sega vibe—Bowser body-checking Knuckles in hockey never gets old. The events are hit or miss (dream ski jumping rules, figure skating feels janky), but the multiplayer is where it shines. Just don’t expect deep mechanics—this is pure, silly couch competition. Grab a friend and prepare for at least one argument about whether that luge run was rigged.
