About Marble Madness (usa, Europe)
Marble Madness came out for the Sega Genesis in 1991, published by Electronic Arts. It was a home port of the arcade game, and it fit right in with the kind of quick, challenging titles that were common on the system back then.
You control a marble from an isometric view, guiding it through six mazes filled with steep drops, enemy creatures, and moving pathways. Your only goal is to get from the start to the finish before the timer runs out. The main mechanics are all about momentum; you build up speed on declines, but you have to be careful not to roll off the edge. You also navigate moving platforms and avoid obstacles that can send you flying. The game is notoriously difficult, with later levels requiring perfect control and memorization.
