So The Lost Vikings is this weird little gem from the Genesis days where you control three kidnapped vikings—Erik the fast one, Baleog with his sword, and Olaf with his shield—trying to escape an alien spaceship. At first it seems like a basic platformer, but the twist is you gotta constantly switch between all three guys to solve puzzles. Erik can jump gaps, Baleog cuts down enemies, and Olaf... well, his shield is basically the MVP for blocking lasers and creating makeshift platforms.

Some of the later levels get seriously devious with timing and positioning—like, you’ll need to stack them all just right to reach a switch. The humor’s cheesy in that '90s way (aliens calling them "primitive Earth organisms" never gets old), but the gameplay holds up way better than it should. Just don’t expect to breeze through it in one sitting.
