Link Dragon Game

Link Dragon on the Sega Genesis is one of those underrated dungeon crawlers that feels like a love letter to old-school fantasy RPGs. You start off in this moody little village—torches flickering, villagers muttering about some cursed dragon—and within minutes, you're knee-deep in a dungeon full of weird traps and monsters that look like they escaped from a heavy metal album cover.
The combat’s simple but satisfying—swing your sword, block at the right time, and pray you packed enough potions. I remember getting wrecked by the first boss because I didn’t realize you could actually dodge its fire breath by ducking behind pillars. Classic Genesis "trial by death" design.
What really stuck with me were the puzzles. Some are obvious (push the block, duh), but others make you actually pay attention to the environment—like spotting faint carvings on walls that hint at hidden switches. And yeah, the dragon fights? Absolutely worth the grind.
It’s not the deepest RPG out there, but it’s got this gritty charm that makes it feel like a lost Saturday morning cartoon from 1993.
