Okay, so Spirit Tracks is the Zelda game where Link drives a train—which sounds weird at first, but trust me, it works. You’re still slashing bushes and solving dungeon puzzles like always, but now you’ve got these rail routes to manage between towns. The touchscreen controls take some getting used to (drawing paths for the boomerang feels awkward until it clicks), but the dungeons are clever, and the train battles? Surprisingly intense.
Also, Zelda’s a ghost who possesses suits of armor to fight alongside you, which is way more fun than it has any right to be. The music’s full of those classic ocarina-style tunes, but with train whistles mixed in. It’s charming as hell.
Just don’t expect to breeze through—some of those later puzzles will make you stare at the ceiling for a solid 10 minutes.
