Landstalker (beta) Game

Landstalker is one of those Genesis gems that feels like a mix of Zelda and an isometric platformer—if you can handle the slightly janky perspective jumps. You play as Nigel, this cocky treasure hunter who’s after King Nole’s legendary loot, and the whole thing’s got this weirdly charming vibe where you’re constantly hopping between cliffs, dodging traps, and getting into sword fights with giant beetles.
The puzzles are legit tricky sometimes—like, "why did I just spend 20 minutes pushing blocks?" tricky—but there’s something satisfying about finally figuring out how to reach that chest taunting you from across a pit. And the music? Absolute bangers. Just don’t be surprised if you miss a jump and curse the diagonal movement at least once.
It’s got that old-school "figure it out yourself" energy, but stumbling into hidden caves or finally beating a boss after three tries feels worth it.
