LEGO Batman on the DS is exactly what you'd hope for—a goofy, blocky take on Gotham where everything from Batarangs to Joker's grin is made of plastic. You start off switching between Batman and Robin, punching thugs and solving simple puzzles (like, "how do I build this ladder out of LEGO bricks?"). The charm's in the details—Robin's little cape physics, the way Batman's suit changes for different abilities, and the fact that even the Batmobile looks like something you could've built on your bedroom floor.
It's not just mindless brawling, though. Some levels have you sneaking around as a villain—I remember one where you play as Poison Ivy and mind-control guards, which was a fun twist. The DS version obviously isn't as flashy as the console ones, but it's got that same dumb fun vibe where you'll accidentally knock over a LEGO lamppost mid-fight and laugh about it. If you've ever wanted to see the Batcave recreated in chunky pixels, this delivers.
