King Salmon – The Big Catch is one of those weirdly specific Genesis games that somehow works. You're basically just fishing for salmon, but the physics actually feel decent—casting the line takes a little finesse, and reeling in a big one makes the controller vibrate (if you've got the right model). The water effects are surprisingly good for a 16-bit game, with little ripples and shadows that make it feel less like a static background.

At first I thought it'd be boring, but there's something weirdly satisfying about timing your hook just right when a fish bites. And yeah, it's all salmon—no bass, no trout, just salmon. They really committed to the bit. If you're into fishing games or just want something oddly chill for the Genesis, this one's a solid pick.
