Jurassic Park: Rampage Edition on the Sega Genesis is basically what happens when you take the movie’s chaos and crank it up to 11. You’re not just surviving—you’re sprinting through jungles, dodging raptors, and blasting dinos with a grenade launcher like some kind of prehistoric action hero.

The first few minutes throw you right into it: no hand-holding, just you, a gun, and a T-Rex that definitely didn’t get the memo about being extinct. The controls are a little stiff by today’s standards, but once you get used to it, there’s something weirdly satisfying about the way the dinosaurs lurch at you with those blocky 16-bit animations.

And yeah, the graphics were impressive for their time—lush greens, detailed sprites, and those classic Sega Genesis sound effects that make every dino roar sound like it’s coming through a tin can. It’s not perfect (good luck with some of those platforming sections), but if you grew up with this game, you already know the jank is part of the charm.

Honestly, it’s one of those games where you either love the chaos or rage-quit after the third velociraptor ambush. But if you’re in the mood for some old-school, no-nonsense dinosaur mayhem, this one still holds up.
