Jump! Ultimate Stars is basically the ultimate love letter to Shonen Jump fans—if you grew up reading Dragon Ball, Naruto, or One Piece, this is your playground. You start by picking a team of manga all-stars (good luck choosing just three), then dive into these chaotic 2D battles where you’re bouncing off walls, spamming special moves, and trying not to get wrecked by Goku’s Kamehameha mid-air. The combat’s deceptively simple at first, but once you figure out how to chain attacks with assists from your backup characters, it gets wild.
What’s cool is how each character actually feels like their manga counterpart—Luffy stretches, Ichigo goes bankai, and Yusuke’s spirit gun actually packs a punch. The sprite work still holds up, too. My only gripe? Unlocking everyone takes forever unless you’re grinding missions, but hey, at least the roster’s stacked. Perfect for quick matches between classes or if you just wanna see who’d win in a fight: Yugi or Kenshiro.
