Jim Power - The Arcade Game is one of those weird, early '90s platformers that feels like it was designed after someone had too much coffee. You play as this armored space marine guy blasting through levels that flip between sci-fi and fantasy for no clear reason—one minute you're shooting robots, the next you're dodging fire-breathing dragons. The controls are stiff in that classic Genesis way, but once you get used to the jump arcs, it's oddly satisfying.
The proto version floating around has some rough edges (enemies sometimes spawn in walls, and the music cuts out randomly), but that just adds to its charm. If you're into obscure retro games that didn't quite make it big, this one's a fun time capsule. Just don't expect anything groundbreaking.
