I picked up Jeopardy! Sports Edition for the Sega Genesis back in 1994, a game published by GameTek. It was one of those many trivia games that came out for the system, a straightforward adaptation of the TV show but focused entirely on sports. It fit right in with the era's library of quiz and party games you could play with friends on the couch.

You control a cursor to select clues from the familiar board, trying to outscore one or two computer opponents. The main objective is to win the most money by providing questions to the answers, first in the Jeopardy! round and then in Double Jeopardy!. Key mechanics include ringing in with a button press before your opponents can, which requires quick timing, and the strategic decision of which clue values to pursue. You also have to phrase your responses correctly, starting with "What is" or "Who is," or the game marks you wrong. The pacing is fast, especially when trying to beat the AI to the buzzer, and the difficulty comes from the wide range of sports trivia, from baseball to obscure Olympic events. It feels like a genuine test of your sports knowledge and reflexes against the clock.
